Welcome to the 7-Day Self-Care Course
DAY SEVEN – BECOME YOUR OWN GURU!
Bringing the last 7 days together
Today we’re going to bring it all together and add one more thing.
That’s a morning routine.
Not the one that you have after you get out of bed. Where you go for a walk or do your yoga, make a cup or coffee and read the mail.
No, I’m talking about a morning routine that is much more powerful than this.
Day 7 Morning Routine
You Ought to Be Proud
I’m very proud of you. It’s not easy to incorporate self-love into your life.
Let’s look at what you’ve achieved over the past week.
You’ve begun a meditation practice, found out about Karma and how it works in your life.
You have found gratitude and done mirror work to accept yourself exactly as you are.
Then you began letting go of the past and developing new patterns that create a future you love.
Bringing it All Together
So today we’re going to bring it all together and add one more pivotal step.
That’s a morning routine.
Not the one that you have after you get out of bed. You go for a walk or do your yoga, make a cup or coffee and read the mail.
No, I’m talking about a morning routine that is much more powerful than this.
This is a morning routine that takes about 10 minutes and happens before you even set foot out of bed.
That’s right.
Set up Your Day Before you even Get out of Bed
From the first thoughts that you aren’t even conscious of, to the mood that begins from there are the thoughts that are then in action before your feet touch the ground.
The power of a morning routine is that it sets up your day for success no matter what success means to you. In other words, things work out for you, and your day unfolds beautifully, no matter what happens.
You can’t determine what happens in your day or what others do and say but you can give yourself the best chance to respond at your very best with a morning routine before you even get out of bed.
Here’s How a Morning Routine Works
You catch the first thoughts you are aware of, before you are even quite awake (this just takes practice) and decide if these are the ones that are creating the mood you want to take into your day.
Sometimes these thoughts can be exciting and you want to keep that mood and other times they can be complaints or thoughts you didn’t like that are leftover from the day before. Those ones you decide to change, right there.
Then you can do some meditation, breathing exercises or centering.
Next, set your intentions for the day.
Decide how you want your day to unfold.
Lastly, send the light ahead of you. Everywhere you know that you are going or people you are contacting, send the light ahead of you.
This is my morning routine and it usually takes 20 minutes if I include a guided meditation. Otherwise, I can do it in around 5 minutes.
That’s not a lot of time to set up your day for success.
So decide what your morning routine will include and begin in the morning by catching those first thoughts.
You’ve got this. You can become your own Self-Care guru!
